An alternate-history novel by Alex Hdez
The Danubian Throne · Book One
June 1914. Sarajevo. The shots failed.
A century after an empire survives the event that should have ended it, Crown Prince Leopold finds signals that cannot exist—and a truth buried beneath Sarajevo.
The alternative begins here
Franz Ferdinand survived. Europe avoided the war. The Habsburg throne endured, and history quietly abandoned the course the world remembers.
In the present day, the Danubian Federation is powerful, modern and apparently untouchable. But its heir is beginning to hear signals from a past that was meant to be gone.
